For varying levels of french:

Primary and KS3

Your child will have fun and learn skills that they will be able to use in class or on holiday in a French-speaking country.

Your child will benefit from years of experience teaching children French (including my own) and have a solid basis to continue learning at a higher level.

Through varied, child-friendly and stimulating activities, your child will learn how the language works, how to converse and create sentences independently and how to pronounce the words accurately.

GCSE / IGCSE and A-Levels / IB

I have many years’ experience of teaching exam classes and you will benefit from my knowledge of the examination syllabus, the topics and the materials. 

You will also learn skills that you will be able to use when visiting a French-speaking country.

We will work on strengthening what you already know and develop your French further.

We will work on different areas:

– skills such as speaking, writing, reading and listening

– vocabulary and topic knowledge

– exam techniques for all skills

– grammar and verb tenses

Learning is first split into areas then integrated, mixing all areas together.

We will use the mark schemes and past papers to maximise your score in the exam.

At A-Level I have extensive knowledge of several films and books from the prescribed list, such as “No et moi”, “Un sac de billes”, “La Haine” or “Intouchables” to name a few.

University and Adults, DELF / DALF

Whether you want to start with French, develop your existing knowledge or require high-level tuition, you will benefit from my years of experience in working with adults.

I have developed high-quality and thought-provoking resources which will provide stimulus for discussion and work on the language.

Together, we will develop all areas of the language: communication skills, vocabulary, grammar, listening skills and culture.
